Cynthia Landress
Owner/Operator/And everything else for my shop
Hi - I'm Cynthia. I am originally from Louisville (the 's' is silent), Kentucky and I have lived near Orlando, Florida for over 30 years now. I am mother of two and grandmother of two absolutely gorgeous twin grandchildren. I retired from working in the corporate rat race for a while now. Before I retired I wanted to start a little home business so I would keep myself busy and earn a little I wanted to be creative and learn new things so I bought an embroidery machine and starting learning all about the wonderful world of embroidery.
I was hoping to start a little home business so I could provide myself with a little mad money (wow that's an old saying huh?!) So that is what I did and then things changed when my daughter told me that she and her husband were expecting. Two things happened at that point 1) I celebrated because I was so excited and happy 2) I started nesting. Wow I started nesting bad. Suddenly I started making blankets, embroidering everything, and using vinyl to make artistic items. I made vinyl trees with flowers, vinyl elephants and their name in vinyl for their bedrooms. I knew I would love being a grandmother (Mimi to them) I just was not expecting the severe nesting to happen.
I continued doing embroidery for a few years, watching my grandbabies grow to little kids and my creativity started taking a different path. I learned about sublimation. It is a fascinating process where a special ink is used on certain materials and you get a fantastic product like what you see on my website. I still do a little embroidery, but focus on sublimation and vinyl products.I hope you enjoy my creations and they bring you as much joy as they have brought me making them for you.
You might be wondering about the picture on this page. I played roller derby for 4 years for Orlando Psycho City Roller Derby. I was a blocker for the Arkham Assailants. My derby name was Cynfully Vicious and I was the oldest member of our Roller Derby league and boy oh boy did I feel it. I really enjoyed my time playing but sadly had to retire because all that falling down was just too hard on my body. Creating products is much easier on my body.
